The women I work with tell me:
“I’m afraid of asking for too much or damaging the relationship.”
“I’m way more confident advocating on behalf of others than for myself.”
“I want to feel confident and capable when I negotiate...instead of feeling like I want to puke.”
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
If you want to increase your impact, advocate for what you value, and have fun in the process, I’m in your corner!
You Got This: The Ultimate Negotiation Course for Professional Women takes you step-by-step through the negotiation process in a format that’s as supportive as it is delightful.
It is the single (nonhuman) thing I am most proud of having created.
Our New Approach
I stand for a new vision of negotiation—one that centers equity, collaboration, and mutual benefit.
No longer is the archetype of negotiation a group of old white men in dark suits, greedily manipulating others into doing what they want.
Instead, negotiators are the women rising in leadership in male-dominated industries and creating opportunities for other marginalized people in the process. Negotiators are the recent grads and seasoned professionals who are charting their own paths. Negotiators are our sisters and friends advocating for their advancement and the allies who join them in creating a more equitable future.
Negotiation is for all of us.
We’re reclaiming negotiation as something women do all the time and are pretty damn good at already.
It’s not about asking for what we need. It’s about advocating for our values and what we deserve.
It’s not selfish. It’s about increasing our impact.
It’s about making the world more equitable.
Let’s do this, together.

What’s been missing from other negotiation programs?
The Feels are Real
The advice, “Never bring your emotions into a negotiation,” is as common as it is crappy and unrealistic.
Y’all, I’d be worried if we didn’t have emotions about the negotiations surrounding our careers and other important aspects of our lives. We’re not robots.
This course helps normalize those emotions and provides strategies for how to move through them so you can feel more calm, confident, and collected when you’re at the negotiating table.
Identity Matters
This course is specifically designed for women, regardless of gender assignment, expression, or identity.
Alternatively, I often tease that traditional negotiation resources are created by and for folks who are “pale, stale, and male.”
While this program focuses on gender and negotiation, I also recognize that our lives are impacted by our many identities outside of gender: race, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, etc.
These identities can affect our expectations about negotiation and the experience we have when we advocate for ourselves. Understanding those dynamics can give us the awareness to become thoughtful, strategic negotiators.
What Participants Are Saying
“This course is spot-on! It’s filled with joy, authenticity, wisdom and expertise.
Lelia invites participants to think about their personal identity markers and consider how those markers show up when we negotiate. The series offered me new perspectives and skills to shape my negotiation mindset and approach.
I feel empowered and ready to apply what I have learned with Lelia to my next negotiations. Whether it be a new contract for my business, pay scales for employees, or after school activities with my kids, I know that I’ve got this!”

“I've never seen, heard, or thought about negotiating in such a fleshed out and comprehensive manner.
As a Black woman, I now understand how my identity impacts my experience. Personally, I always felt that I had to accept what was given. Reviewing this course allowed me to reframe my thoughts as well as assess my value.
I now have a new sense of confidence, language, and perspective when entering a negotiation.
